Hello...

We have a friend who comes to visit us every single day... his name is SKIPPY... a wild squirrel who lives in our neighborhood... he's been coming around for years now and we are quite attached to him... he brings much joy with his comical antics... sometimes he even brings his buddies along... the more the merrier... he's a precious creature.

We're not sure if Skippy is a Mister or a Ms., but each day Skippy comes to visit and feast on the unsalted peanuts, sunflower seeds and fresh water we put out for him.

Skip is busy these days getting ready for Winter hiding nuts around the garden. Wonder if he remembers where he puts them?

Nature is such a gift to us all. Even living in suburbia, like Steve and I are presently, we still get glimpses of nature's wonders... what a blessing.

On the bead front, things are starting to feel more normal again... I am recovering still from spine surgery that I had about a month ago... BUT... things are looking up... each day I'm feeling stronger with more energy and less pain and hope to be back behind the torch for longer periods of time very shortly... all good stuff! There is no where I'd rather be than behind the torch and nothing I'd rather be doing that making beads!

Hoping all is well with y'all and I'll be back soon with another update.

Take good care, Gracie

G'morning,

Just wanted to check in and say hello! Hoping you are all doing great and enjoying Fall!

A couple more new auctions up on ebay this week...
AUTUMN CASUAL and SILVERED SAGE.

Still recovering from my back "thanng", and when it feels right, I'm trying to make one or two more beads than the day before... some days my new plan works and when it does... I'm a happy girl!

More soon and until then, take good care!

Bye for now, Gracie

Hey!

Hope your week is starting out on a good note. Isn't this weather incredible? Indian Summer is here in full swing on the West Coast.

I added a couple new auctions on ebay in the last day or two... BLUE JEAN BABY and WINTER DREAMS... cool Wintery colors, that will work right on through the year.

That's about it for now... take good care!

Hi there!

Not much new in my little corner of the world, but wanted to say hello just the same. I'm still "recovering" from my surgery (and will be for some time), but am finding I can sit behind the torch for short periods of time now. This is a delightful and major accomplishment. I have missed making beads A LOT, so even if I can only sit for 30 minutes at a stretch, it's a start.

Fall is here and I am so loving this weather. It's cooler and there is a cool gentle breeze that makes our wind chimes sing and makes the air outside feel fresh and clean... Fall is a wonderful time of the year.

I'm starting to take short walks in the neighborhood and it's nice to get out of the house. Also, in the past 2-1/2 weeks, I have watched more movies than I can count. We got this little portable DVD player and I can take it where ever I feel like being. We joined blockbuster.com and they send us DVD movies in the mail... we watch 'em and mail them back and they send the next batch. It's VERY cool, indeed.

My friends and family have been the greatest... they drop by to lend a hand and bring encouragement... they vacuum, bring food, take me outside for a walk, clean up the kitchen, do laundry, water plants, play with the animals - things I can't do right now - and I am so grateful! They also bring me Starbuck's lattes... doesn't get better than that. Friends and family are such a blessing.

That's all for now. Hoping all is well with you and that you are having a lovely weekend!

Take good care, Gracie

Howdy!

Hoping all is well with y'all!

It's been 2 weeks now since my spine fusion surgery and my recovery is coming along quite nicely... this was a much bigger deal than I thought it was, but the good news is, I'm starting to have more energy and the pain is getting less and less, so things are moving in the right direction! Yeah!

The other day, the torch was calling to me so loudly to come and play and make beads, I couldn't resist... it was so wonderful to hang out with my old friend and play with glass, making beads again! I completed a collection I had started a couple of weeks ago... I just put them up on ebay and if you want to have a look, here is a link...
FALL PURPLES.

I'm curious what colors of beads you may be wanting to see this Fall & Winter... please email me or add a comment in here in the "comment" section... I'd LOVE to hear from you about colors!

Again, I want to thank all of you who have been there for me through this surgery stuff... your emails, cards, gifts and prayers have so touched my heart, words cannot express how grateful I am to you... thank you soooooooooooo much! Soon all of this will be just a memory... onward and upward!

Take good care of yourselves and I'll be back soon.

Bye for now, Gracie

Hello All!

I'm home! My spinal fusion surgery is over and my surgeon said the surgery went very well. I came home from the hospital last Friday, after 4 days of being cared for, fused over and gotten back on my feet (and walking again!) by some of the kindest and sweetest nurses and physical therapists on the planet. However... there truly IS no place like home! And once I got back home, crawling into your own bed was truly a little slice of Heaven!

From the bottom of my heart, I want to thank those of you who sent your kind wishes and words of encouragement, gifts, phone calls, cards and flowers. They really touched my heart and I will never forget your kindness... ever! Although it's going to take a lot more time for my recovery to be complete, I'm so grateful the surgery part of this is over with now and I can begin to move forward... there are LOTS of beads to be made... right? Hopefully, I may even get to make some beads today??? I'll have to see how I feel, but I miss my torch and we are needing to "reunite"... can't wait!

Talk to you soon and take good care, Gracie
