G'evening to all,

Tonight I added another new collection of handmade lampwork beads up on ebay... if you click on the collection's title below, you will be taken to the ebay auction.

BLUE MIDNIGHT ::: A collection of intricately decorated handmade artisan lampwork glass beads in the blues of midnight, along with silvered pale blues and grays... and... oodles of fine silver to add a splash of elegance.

There are 17 beads in this collection, including two mini lentil shaped beads, created with 'danglies' in mind... the rest of these beads are lentil and pastille shapes and range in size from about 13mm to about 19mm... one of these beads has been gently etched to a satin matte finish... all of these beads are decorated on both sides and are temporarily strung on ribbons... this strand of beads measures about 11-1/2 inches long.

These beads are dripping in fine silver detailing and are great colors for any season of the year.

Still working on that Special... promise! Hope you ALL have a wonderful weekend.

Take good care, Gracie

Hello again,

I'm baaaack... with a couple new bead collections on ebay... by the way, the bead collections' titles below are links to the auctions.

STUCK ON EARTH TOO ::: Just LOVE these colors, especially, now that Autumn has arrived... in my Stuck On Earth design, a collection of 20 handmade artisan lampwork glass beads in the beautiful Fall colors of topaz and earthy greens and browns... these beads are a match for my STUCK ON EARTH focal that is currently also on ebay (which closes tomorrow)... the makings for a couple of very cool bracelets or one gorgeous necklace with matching earrings.

There are 20 beads in this collection... a dozen lentil and pastille shapes and four pair of rounds, created with earrings and/or 'danglies' in mind... the smallest bead measures about 6mm x 9mm and the largest is about 19mm... these beads have all been gently etched to a satin matte finish and have been temporarily strung on ribbons... this strand of beads measures about 10-1/4 inches long.

SOUL SOOTHING ::: A collection of handmade artisan lampwork glass beads in the Soul Soothing colors of purples, lavenders and gentle rainbow raku greens... it's magical the impact these colors can create - these colors just make one's Soul feel calm and peaceful... and... these purples will work for every season.

There are 17 beads in this collection... pastille and lentil shapes (yes, my favorite shapes)... these beads range in size from about 18mm to 19mm... a couple of these have been gently etched to a satin matte finish... they are all decorated all the way 'round and have been temporarily strung on ribbon... this strand of beads measures about 12 inches long.

That's it for now... today/tonight I am working in silvered midnight blues... aka a Special on the horizon.

Take good care and g'nite, Gracie

Hi there,

Usually, my posts in here are about beads... today, I thought I'd share a little bit on a more personal note.

Have I ever introduced you to Kia? Here she is... this picture was taken from the window in my bead studio... her dog house is right outside my studio window, so she and I hang out together when I'm behind the torch... we hang out at other times, too, of course, but couldn't resist taking this pic... she's a real sweetheart and one awesome protector.

A couple of weeks ago, I mentioned Steve and I were going to attend my class reunion and since it's so rare to find me in anything besides tank tops, capris and Birkenstocks (torch work is a hot business!) I wanted to share some pictures that we took with our best friends Patty & Dave right before we left for the reunion... Patty and I have been best friends since we were 5 years old (wow! where does time go?!)... Patty and I met Dave when we were 16 years old (and they got married... awwwww)... we are dear old, old friends and have been through a lot together over the years (which have been many)... and here's to many more years ahead! By the way the reunion was a lot of fun and we saw some other dear old friends that we had not seen for a million years... glad we went!

Here goes...

Steve and Gracie...

Back to the bead front... two new auctions ready for tonight on ebay... once they are up and running, I will add descriptions and links in here.

Take good care and have a good one!

Hello!

Hope you are having a good week so far... Fall is finally here... the trees' leaves are turning colors of oranges and golden browns, the sun's shadows are changing, which I find fascinating, our little pet squirrel, Skippy, who visits every day, is hiding nuts for Winter and it will soon start cooling off a bit... it's ALL good.

I've added a couple new auctions on ebay tonight with the newly arriving Autumn Season in mind...

STUCK ON EARTH ::: In my Stuck On Earth design, a lentil shaped focal in earthy tones for Fall, accompanied by 2 smaller lentil shapes and two pair of matching rounds... the start of something wonderful for this new Autumn season upon us.

SILVERED TREASURES ::: Now that Fall is officially here, this lampworker can't seem to stay away from the glass colors of silvered grays, khaki, champagne, fawn and golden ambers... a collection of 22 mini sized handmade lampwork glass beads on a base of silvered grays and fawn taupe with a matching 19mm lentil shaped focal.... great colors for Autumn and Winter.

These beads compliment my
SILVERED KHAKI [<--- click to see] beads that are also currently available on ebay.

Have a great rest of the week and I'll talk to you soon.

Take good care, Gracie

Hi All!

We spent the weekend moving the bead studio back home and getting settled in... I am very pleased to be back home and will also love and re-appreciate working from home (sometimes you have to be without something to appreciate it!) again after working in a rented studio and having to commute! In retrospect, I can now see just what a blessing working from home really is.

The new studio set up has back-light sun coming in the window (perfect for bead making) and lots of kitties and a dog to hang out with... gotta love that!

The move went from this...

To this...

These two pictures were taken early this morning... hope you can get the bright feel of this room... being a 'sun lover', it's very nice, indeed.... also, now have a metal work surface, so no longer have to deal with burning my table with hot glass.

Late last night, in the process of creating the new bead studio, Steve, being the creative and talented guy he is, made new shelves to hold my glass and even a space for my laptop... can't tell you how thrilled I am about this... an organized studio is real high on my priority list and now I actually have one!

There is still much organizing and re-arranging to complete... we also do stained glass work and that is what is next to be organized... more pics to come!

Plan to be back behind the torch tomorrow and also hope to have more Specials available very soon.

Be back soon... take good care, Gracie

P.S. Hi Mal... hoping all is well with you and Ardis!

G'morning!

Yup, I'm moving my bead studio again (sheesh... a HUGE undertaking)... so I won't be behind the torch for a short time while this is happening... shouldn't take long to get it set up and running again.

As some of you know, I have been staying with my sister and brother-in-law for a while... partly, to help out with my sister and brother-in-law raising their grandsons... these two children are the most precious children on the planet... meet Rowan (age 5) and Oskar (age 7)... these two boys are best buddies and are really there for each other... it is absolutely precious to watch.

I'm moving back home this weekend, but plan to head back to my sis's to help out and spend time with her and the kids because I have totally fallen in love with these two little ones... at this age, the wonder and curiosity they create brings back all of the childhood memories we all have of how exciting life really is!

This post is just a head's up for those of you who follow my work and may wonder where the heck I've disappeared to... will have more beads available just as soon as possible.

Hoping all is well with everyone and I'll be back soon!

Take good care, Gracie :)

Happy weekend!

A quick update to tell you about my latest collection of handmade lampwork glass beads that are now available on ebay...

SAGE HONEY ::: Can you feel Fall in the air? The shadows and sun's reflections are changing and for me that's the first sign of a new season on its way... to celebrate this new season, a collection of handmade lampwork glass beads in sage greens, honey, amber, champagne and hints of cinnabar rust and fine silver... perfect colors for Autumn on into Winter.

There are 16 beads in this collection... lentil and pastille shapes... these beads range in size from about 18mm to about 20mm... two of these beads have been gently etched to a satin matte finish... they are decorated on both sides and have been temporarily strung on ribbons... again, I find myself without a ruler or measuring device here at the studio (sheesh!)... I would estimate this strand of beads measures about 12 inches long (give or take).

Take good care and hope your lonnng weekend brings you ALL that you dream of!

Bye for now, Gracie
